At Home Healthcare Products: Medical Alert Necklaces
Comfort Keepers helps seniors in Oreland, PA, stay safe at home
With age, we become more prone to falls, medical emergencies, and all sorts of at-home accidents. Falls and injuries that occur as a result of falls can range from bone fractures to serious head trauma. Medical emergencies can lead to hospitalization and reduced independence. At-home accidents can leave seniors injured, shaken or worse.
Unfortunately, we cannot know when something bad will happen. Even seniors receiving professional at home healthcare or getting assistance from family members may often be home alone, so it is important to have a plan in case of any kind of emergency.
With Comfort Keepers, you can rest assured that your loved one can get help in the shortest possible time should anything happen to them. Namely, we offer our SafetyChoice Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) to our clients who either live alone or want to complement at home healthcare services with an easy-to-use tech solution that does not require making any changes to their accustomed way of life.
PERS has two parts, a tabletop unit and a medical alert necklace (we also have models with bracelets). The tabletop console is connected to our Centralized Monitoring Station, so if your loved one activates either the console or their necklace, they can immediately speak with our experienced emergency operators. The console and necklace are activated by a simple push of a button.
When our emergency responders pick up your loved one's distress signal, they will notify people from their contact list. In case of a medical emergency or fire/carbon monoxide leakage, they will notify paramedics or firefighters.
While your loved one is waiting for help to arrive, our emergency responders will continue talking to them so your parent will not stay alone for one minute.
Comfort Keepers at home healthcare services offer a wide range of Personal Emergency Response Systems. Some of them come with necklaces, which have a couple of advantages over bracelets or pendants. First, they do not attract any attention and can be worn beneath clothes so no one has to know that your loved one is wearing a medical alert necklace. Second, they look nice and women can wear them as fashion pieces. Due to their design, they can be worn at all times, even when your loved one is taking a bath or shower.
If you are not sure which PERS model is right for your loved one, our at home healthcare experts can help them choose the best product for their needs. By contacting us today, you can schedule a free in-home consultation for your loved one. During this consultation, our care experts can answer all your questions about our services and products, explain how our PERS work, and help with the decision-making process. Contact us online anytime or give us a call at (267) 293-7434. We are happy to help!
